San Diego Trip

Last weekend we took a last minute trip to San Diego with the kids. We had a great time and the kids absolutely loved the beach! We'll miss being so close to such a great vacation destination!

Jack's Latest Ultrasound

I just had another ultrasound to check up on Baby Jack's size (I've been measuring a little big). The tech was awesome and she spent a long time getting some fabulous 3D shots of his little face. It took a while to get them because he was rubbing his face with his hands nonstop. He was also practicing his breathing the whole time, you could see his rib cage expanding and contracting. It was truly amazing. He weighs about 5lb 2oz right now, which is pretty average.

Campout

Last weekend we had the annual Roberts Family campout! It was just one night in the forest, but really fun. The kids had a blast getting dirty, eating marshmallows, playing with marshmallows shooters that we made from PVC just for the occasion, using our awesome "butt hut" (a makeshift camping potty), rolling in the dirt, and did I mention getting dirty? I must have used a thousand baby wipes on Colin's face alone. He probably ate a few pounds of dirt over the course of the trip. Here are some photos of the trip.

Lovely Weekend

This weekend we celebrated our 8th anniversary! I can't believe it's been eight years already! I must be the luckiest girl in the world.

Dress-Up Time

Today the kids played in the dress-up bin for a long time. Amelia managed to get quite a few accessories incorporated into her outfit. And, yes, Colin is wearing Jasmine heels.

New Beds

Today Amelia and Colin both moved into bigger beds. In order to free the crib up for the new baby, Colin moved into Amelia's toddler bed, and she got a new twin mattress and will soon be getting a wrought-iron headboard from my Dad. Both kids got new sheets to celebrate the occasion!

Amelia's First Talk

Amelia was asked to give a little presentation at church this week on reverence. This is her first time doing anything like it, so we're really excited! She memorized the whole thing and has been practicing a lot. FYI-the video is kind of long.

Last Day of Preschool!

Today was Amelia's last day of Preschool! I can't believe the school year is over already! She ended up loving her class and her teacher, and she's pretty sad that it's over. For the last day the kids had a water day, so she got to go to school in her swimsuit.

I got back to school a little early and was able to get some photos of Amelia playing in the pool with some of the other kids. Apparently there was a lot of grass in the water, because it's all over her face!

Bath Pics (again)

I just can't seem to resist the bath photos! Since the house has to be so clean all the time, the kids are taking marathon baths. At least they can play in there all they want, worry free! The first one was of Colin holding a cup in the tub until I cropped out his private parts! That's his favorite thing right now, which wouldn't be bad except that he insists on slugging down bath water every time I look away! Amelia is holding her favorite bath toy right now, a little ring that she affectionately calls, "The Crabster." The last is of Colin wearing the chain of rings, that he likes to refer to as, "The Jacket." Someone, either Colin or Amelia (never me), must be wearing, "The Jacket" at all times.

Fire Station Visit

Today we went to visit the fire station in Fountain Hills with both of my sisters and two of Lauren's sisters-in-law with their kids. Dad met us there and helped another fireman show the kids around. They really had fun!

Joe's Barbeque

Today was customer appreciation day at Joe's Barbeque, one of our favorite restaurants. We got a free lunch and the kids got free hats. They really love a good paper hat!

Home For Sale

It's official! After days of grueling cleaning, our house is on the market as of today. It's exciting, sad, and a lot of pressure! We'll miss this place (if it ever sells!).

Amelia joined in the cleaning effort, even if it was only a toy vacuum.

Banana Love

Colin is crazy about bananas and will eat them anytime, night or day. Here are some pictures of him relishing his breakfast banana this morning.
