Tea Time
As a little celebration for Jack's (then) upcoming birth, Debi took me and some family to tea at the Phoenician. It was WONDERFUL! We had such a great time, especially Amelia! Thank you SO much, Debi!

Tea Videos
Here's Amelia's happy response to Debi's invitation to tea.
Here's Colin's happy response to finding out that he'd be hanging out with Mike, his Dad, and his brothers for the day.

Party Time!
Amelia got invited to her first non-family birthday party! It was a Tinkerbell themed party, so all the little girls were encouraged to wear tutus or fairyish clothes. The beautiful dress that Debi gave Amelia for Christmas was perfect! Amelia helped me wrap the gift (but not too much, as you can see) and she got all fancied up with nail polish and perfume. She looked beautiful and was totally excited. I'm still pretty hormonal, so I nearly cried!

Jack's Stats
Jack had his appointment with the pediatrician yesterday and he is in the 28th percentile for weight, 65th for length, and 75th for head circumference. Those ratios are very similar to Colin's, so I guess we'll have two sons who have trouble balancing their heads on their shoulders!

6 Days Old
Jack is 6 days old today! We are all doing really well adjusting to life at home with our newborn. Jack is a pretty easy baby, but he is an eating machine! No complaints though, the opposite would be worse. Mike has been an amazing help at home, and I'm feeling better physically after this c-section than I did after my previous 2. We feel so blessed! Jack his his first doctor's appointment today, so I'll be posting his stats soon!

Doctor's Appointments
Ok, another post without pictures. Today we had many doctor's visits! I went to see mine and everything looks good. My doctor is wonderfully positive about my preeclampsia situation and she says things like, "your blood pressures look awesome" and "your pee is terrific (no protein in urine)" and "you might actually make it to your scheduled date." These things all make me feel like a little girl who is gleefully being praised for picking up her toys. I love it!
Our big drama of the day was well baby visits to the marvellous Dr. Caplan for both kids. Amelia was so nervous that after the nurse took her blood pressure, she awkwardly blurted out, "Doctor, Doctor, I love you!" Poor thing, she had to get 4 shots at the end and although she was very brave, it was awful. The doctor predicts that she will be 5'6"ish when she's full grown, and she is on the 50th percentile for her weight and height. Colin is 75th percentile for height, and Dr. Caplan thinks he will be 6" tall! Way to pass on the good genes, Mike! Colin also had a shot, but since he turned 2 he cries all the time and I have a heart of stone. He did some very excellent speaking during the appointment and Dr. Caplan was really impressed with his sentences. Overall, it was a gruelling visit and I'm glad they don't have to do it again for another year.

Colin's Ready...
Today Colin was patting my tummy and I reminded him that Baby Jack is in there. He stuck his finger in my belly button hard and said (in his slow, halting way), "Let's... get... him... out..." I'm glad somebody's ready!

The Beginning of a Life of Crime...
Happy Birthdays!
Amelia and Colin both just celebrated their birthdays! Amelia turned 4 and Colin turned 2. Because of how hectic things are right now (upcoming birth, move, etc) I didn't have the energy to throw them a party so they celebrated over and over again! McDonald's with their cousins, cupcakes at Grandma Susu and Papa's house, out to dinner with G.G., Grandpa Jim, and Brian, and Chuck E. Cheese with Grandma Debi and Grandpa Chin. They are so lucky to be loved by so many! Here are some pictures that were taken at Mom's house.
