Funny Amelia

I was amazed at how confident Amelia was at the start of preschool this year. Last year she grabbed my leg, kicked, and cried about going. By the end of the year, she was really comfortable there, and I thought that was just a function of time. I was wrong! She has become an extremely confident girl! I noticed on the first day of church that she marched into her class without even saying goodbye or casting a glance back in my direction. I also noticed it on the first day of preschool, but all the moms were there so I chalked it up to having some motherly support. This week has been her first real week of preschool (without Mom), and she hasn't had any problem at all. After the first day of class this week, her teacher told me that during music time she raised her hand and volunteered to sing the song, "I am a Child of God" solo! The teacher said she has the voice of an angel and that they were all nearly in tears! I could hardly believe it. Amelia told me that she said, "I love you" to her teacher as well! She just isn't the same girl she was 6 months ago, and I'm really proud of her.
