Lattice Top Pie

This afternoon all the kids napped at the same time! So what did I do with my precious alone time? Clean the house? Unpack those last boxes? Cook up a healthy meal for my hungry family of five? Nope. I baked an apple pie. I've always wanted to try one with a lattice top, and it sounded great on this cold (high 68 degrees!) and soon to be rainy day. Besides, we're celebrating the return of our favorite show tonight, The Office. I must admit, I think it looks pretty cool. I used an egg wash, too. So, bring on the pie!
